Terms of Service
The rules that govern campaigns, escrow payments, performance authenticity, and rights on SyncSet. · Last updated: September 21, 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and SyncSet. You must accept them — together with our Privacy Policy — when you create your account, and they continue to apply whenever you use the platform. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use SyncSet.
2. Accounts and eligibility
SyncSet serves two roles: Artists, who upload tracks and fund promotion campaigns, and DJs, who perform tracks and submit proof videos. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal capacity in your jurisdiction), provide accurate account information, and hold only one account per person. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
3. Artist rights-ownership requirements and Content ID screening
When you publish a campaign, you represent and warrant that you own or lawfully control all rights to the uploaded track, including the right to authorize public performance of the track by DJs worldwide. Uploads may be screened through third-party content-recognition and Content ID APIs to detect tracks whose rights belong to someone else.
If a track is identified as infringing, or we receive a valid takedown or DMCA notice, the campaign may be suspended or removed, escrowed funds may be refunded or withheld pending resolution, and repeated infringement results in permanent account termination at our discretion.
Copyright protection is your responsibility. SyncSet is not responsible for any music, song, or beat uploaded to the platform without first being properly copyright-registered. If an uploaded song or beat is stolen, copied, or misused by another person because it was not properly copyrighted prior to upload, SyncSet bears no liability for that loss or for any claim arising from it.
4. DJ live-performance authenticity standards
A proof video must show a real, live DJ performance by you, at a genuine venue, event, or stream, in which the promoted track is actually played. The following are strictly prohibited: staged or scripted "performances" that never happened; pre-recorded or looped footage presented as live; AI-generated or deepfake video; footage of other performers presented as your own; and any manipulation intended to simulate a live play.
Every submission is screened by automated AI fraud detection. Videos flagged with high confidence as AI-generated or manipulated are automatically rejected and never reach the artist; the DJ may re-submit an authentic performance. Flagged submissions may be reviewed by SyncSet's verification team, whose decision is final. Fraud attempts lead to rejection of the submission, forfeiture of the related payout, and — for repeated or severe cases — suspension or termination of the account.
5. Campaigns, escrow, and payouts
Artists fund each campaign's reward budget upfront in escrow before it goes live. When an artist approves a DJ's proof video, the escrowed reward for that play is released to the DJ's SyncSet ledger, minus a platform service fee (currently 10% of the per-play price). Approved payouts are final.
Artists may reject a submission that does not meet the campaign's play requirements, providing a reason that is shared with the DJ; rejected submissions are not paid. Escrowed funds are reserved for campaign rewards: they are refundable to the artist only if the campaign is cancelled before its play limit is used and no pending submissions await review, or if a submission is confirmed as fraud. DJ ledger balances are withdrawable according to the payout settings of your account.
6. License to your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. By uploading content you grant SyncSet a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process (including AI fraud screening for videos and Content ID checks for audio), and display it as needed to operate the platform. Proof videos are shown to the campaign's artist and to SyncSet's verification team. We will not use your performance in SyncSet marketing without first asking you for separate consent.
7. Acceptable use
You may not: breach these Terms or the Privacy Policy; infringe others' rights; submit fraudulent, manipulated, or AI-generated performances; create multiple accounts to evade limits; scrape or reverse-engineer the platform; interfere with escrow, payout, or review processes; or use SyncSet for any unlawful purpose. Subscription plan limits (song uploads for Artists, song acceptances for DJs) apply per plan and may change with notice.
8. Data privacy, isolation, and security
Your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. We enforce strict data access controls: administrators maintain oversight of platform data and payment records, while standard users can solely view and edit their own profiles, campaigns, submissions, and billing history. Suspected breaches should be reported to us immediately via in-app support or by email at support@syncsetglobal.com.
9. Subscriptions and billing
New accounts receive a 30-day free trial. Following the trial, plans bill automatically on a monthly basis ($5, $10, $25, or $50/month) governing your upload or acceptance limits, via third-party gateway providers supporting Google Pay, Apple Pay, and credit/debit cards. Plan limits reset per billing cycle. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the Subscription page; cancellation stops future charges and your plan remains active until the end of the paid period. Fees for completed escrow releases and approved payouts are not refundable.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, attempt payment or verification fraud, or create risk for other users — including removal of campaigns and forfeiture of fraudulent payouts. You may close your account at any time; obligations already accrued (approved payouts, active campaign review, refunds owed) survive closure.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
SyncSet provides a venue for artists and DJs to transact, and — other than our escrow, verification, and screening obligations described above — we do not guarantee any campaign's promotional results. The platform is provided "as is" and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, SyncSet is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our aggregate liability to you is limited to the greater of amounts you paid through the platform in the previous six months or one hundred US dollars (US$100).
12. Changes, governing law, and contact
We may update these Terms and will notify account holders of material changes before they take effect; continued use after that means you accept the updated Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For any question or dispute, contact us first through in-app support, the Contact page, or by email at support@syncsetglobal.com — we commit to good-faith resolution.
