Privacy Policy
How SyncSet collects, uses, protects, and shares your data on our global DJ music marketplace. · Last updated: September 21, 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
SyncSet ("SyncSet", "we", "us") operates a global marketplace that connects independent artists and DJs for verified, video-proven music promotion. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you create an account, run campaigns, claim and perform tracks, submit proof videos, or use any SyncSet feature — and the strict isolation and security rules we apply to it.
By creating a SyncSet account you agree to this Privacy Policy together with our Terms of Service.
2. Data we collect
Account data. Your name, email address, password, user role (Artist, DJ, or Admin), country selection, and country flag preference.
Identity and profile data. Social media handles and streaming account links (Spotify, SoundCloud, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok), verification status, and experience tier.
Payment and financial data. Processed securely via third-party gateway providers, supporting Google Pay, Apple Pay, and credit/debit cards. We do not store raw card numbers — only transaction records (amount, type, status, related campaign).
User-generated content. Uploaded audio tracks, performance verification videos, support messages, and AI-detection authentication logs.
Usage and device data. Basic analytics such as pages used and events triggered (e.g. campaign created, proof submitted), used to improve the platform and detect abuse.
3. How we use your data
We use collected data to operate the marketplace escrow system, enforce acceptance and play limits, verify content ownership via Copyright & Content ID APIs, run automated deepfake/AI anti-fraud verification checks on video proofs, and provide live customer support. We also use it to communicate service, payment, and review notifications and to improve the platform. We never sell your personal data.
4. AI fraud screening of proof videos
Every DJ performance video is screened by automated AI analysis to detect AI-generated, manipulated, or "deepfake" content. Videos flagged with high confidence are blocked from artist review and routed to SyncSet's verification team. Screening results (confidence scores and summaries) are stored with the submission. This protects artists from paying for fake plays and protects honest DJs from competing against fraud.
5. Music rights verification (Content ID checks)
Audio files uploaded to campaigns may be checked against third-party content-recognition and Content ID APIs to confirm the uploading artist holds or controls the rights to the track. Only the fingerprinting data needed for the check is shared with those providers — never your full profile.
A Content ID screen does not copyright your music for you — registering your copyright is solely your responsibility. SyncSet is not responsible for any uploaded song or beat that is stolen or misused by another person because it was not properly copyright-protected before upload.
6. Data isolation and security
We enforce strict data access controls: administrators maintain oversight of platform data and payment records, while standard users can solely view and edit their own profiles, campaigns, submissions, and billing history. Role-based access controls ensure one user can never read, modify, or delete another user's records, and all traffic is encrypted in transit.
7. When we share your data
We share data only as needed to run the platform: with our payment processor to charge subscriptions, hold escrow, and release payouts; with our AI screening and content-rights providers as described above; with the counterparty of your own campaigns (an artist sees the DJ's name, country, and proof video for their campaign; a DJ sees the campaign details and artist name); and with authorities where we are legally required. We do not share your data for third-party advertising.
8. How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. Campaign, submission, and payment records are retained after completion as required for accounting, dispute resolution, and anti-fraud records. If you delete your account or request erasure, we remove your profile and content, except records we must retain for legal or financial reasons.
9. Your rights
You can access and correct most of your data directly from your Profile page, including your country, bio, genres, and social links. For privacy inquiries, support, or data removal requests, contact our team via the in-app support chat or via email at support@syncsetglobal.com. You can also close your account, which ends your subscription and removes your profile from the marketplace.
10. Children
SyncSet is not directed at children, and you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal capacity in your jurisdiction) to hold an account, since the platform involves payment obligations and performance contracts.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves. We will notify account holders by email or in-app notice of material changes before they take effect. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
